  1. Choosing a name for your business. Before creating your free online store with TeePublic you must choose a name for your business. You want to keep it short and simple. This will make it easy for people to remember your business name when they want to find your online store again. For example; Diane chose “Diane’s Tees.
  2. Now you’re ready to setup your free TeePublic store and give it a name. Click here.
  3. The next step is to start creating the artwork and designs to sell on the TeePublic products in your online store. No Photoshop experience needed. Diane uses PlaceIt, a company recommended by TeePublic to design your t-shirts. Open your account with PlaceIt, click here. PlaceIt gives you t-shirt templates to create your artwork. You can pay monthly or annually for PlaceIt. The annual cost is $89. If you can’t afford the $89 start off with a monthly plan.
  4. You’re all set! Take your time and learn how to use PlaceIt. Start creating designs and upload them to your TeePublic store. Choose the products that you want to sell each of your designs on. BAM! They are now in your store and ready to start selling.
  5. Create, create, create designs and upload them to your store. Once you have about 20 designs in your store, start advertising.

Your store is now open for business. Now it’s up to you to get people going to your store to see your designs and products for sale.

Guide to Advertising Your Store

You’ve given your online store a name for many reasons. It’s your business name, and the name of your store on TeePublic. So now you want to spread the word and get potential customers visiting your online store.

One of the best ways to advertise your new store is through Social Media. Create a Facebook business page, a Twitter account, and an Instagram account. Use your business name for each account. You want people to remember your “business name”. This is how they can find you when they want to shop again and again.
